In late April, 2010 International Relief Teams, in partnership with Haiti Vision, purchased a Mobile MaxPure for deployment in Haiti as part of ongoing disaster relief and recovery efforts.  The deployment of additional MMPs in Haiti at this time is critical as Haiti is about to enter the rainy season, presenting grave dangers for the spread of water-born diseases such as cholera in the tent cities and elsewhere.  WorldWater has begun production of the MMP system and, in partnership with Haiti Vision and International Relief Teams will be sending the solar-powered water purification system to Haiti in the coming weeks.

On Sunday, April 2, 2010 the BBC news ran a story on the America’s Front Page section of their news service highlighting the Mobile MaxPure’s provision of clean water to the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake.  Mobile MaxPure’s provision of water to the people of Haiti continues to this day.  To read the article, click here:  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8594830.stm

In addition to Mobile MaxPure, the article discusses the good work being accomplished by The Haitian Project, where our VP Operations, Michael Ingles, is a Board Member and has been a volunteer for over 13 years.
